DAVID WETTERGREN WHEREAS, Dr. David Wettergren has been the Superintendent of Schools for Independent School District No. 834 for over eleven years; and WHEREAS, Dr. David Wettergren has had a distinguished career in the field of education - a career that has spanned over thirty-four years; and WHEREAS, during his years of service as Superintendent of Schools, Dr. David Wettergren has exhibited a high degree of loyalty, commitment and leadership to Independent School District No. 834; and WHEREAS, during Dr. David Wettergren's career the schools within Independent School District No. 834 have continued to receive local, state and national recognition for excellence in education and for producing interscholastic sports champions; and WHEREAS, Dr. David Wettergren is retiring from his position of Superintendent of Schools effective June 30, 1997. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater that Dr. David Wettergren is hereby commended for the exceptional contributions he has made to the communities and people served by Independent School District No. 834. The City Council regrets that Dr. David Wettergren is retiring but extends to him its sincere congratulations for a job well done and best wishes for the future.
