HomeMy WebLinkAbout0598 Ord (Amend Parking)• • • .ra ORDINANCE NO. 598 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING STILLWATER CITY CODE, CHAPTER 51, SECTION 51.01, SUBDIVISION 5, PARAGRAPH 2. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STILLWATER DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1. AMENDING. Chapter 51, Section 51.01, Subdivision 5, Paragraph 2 of the Stillwater City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Parking a vehicle in a designated space in a parking meter zone on Main Street between Nelson and Mulberry Streets shall be lawful for a period not ro exceed one (1) hour upon deposit of the proper coin or coins. Parking a vehicle in a designated space in a parking meter zone on all of the other streets designated in Section 2 shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two (2) hours upon deposit of the proper coin or coins. It shall be lawful to park on meters located in the municipal parking lots for the following periods upon deposit of the proper coin or coins as herein provided; In that lot commonly known as the Maple Island Lot, located on part of Block 18, Original Town (now City) of Stillwater, the Westerly forty-four (44) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two (2) hours and the remaining twenty-six (26) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed four (4) hours. In that municipal parking lot commonly known as the Auditorium Lot located upon part of Block 30 of the Original Town (now City) of Stillwater the most southerly twenty-one (21) meters, ur two (2) rows, shall be lawful for a period not to exceed ten (10) hours and the remaining thirty-one (31) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two (2) hours. In that municipal parking lot commonly known as the Reeds Lot located upon part of Block 28 of the Original Town (now City) of Stillwater, all meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two(2) hours. In that municipal parking lot commonly known as the River Lot located upon railroad property adjacent to Lowell Fork, the northerly thirty (30) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two (2) hours and the remainig forty (40) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed ten (10) hours. In that municipal parking lot commonly known as the South Main Street Parking Lot located on part cf Lot 11, Block 28 of the Original Town (now City) of Stillwater, the southerly thirty (30) meters shall be lawful foe a period not to exceed ten (10) hours and the remaining sixty-four (64) meters shall be lawful for a period not to exceed two (2) hours. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
