ORDINANCE NO. 597
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 515, 541 and 543 ESTABLISHING THE WARD
AND PRECINCT BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF STILLWATER.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STILLWATER DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 515 of the City of Stillwater
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. Third Ward. The Third Ward shall comprise all of that area of the
CitT North of the Second Ward.
3.01 Third Ward, First Precinct, shall comprise ail of the Third Ward
lying North of the following described line:
Beginning at a point on the shores of Lake St. Croix where the South
line of Elm Street extended strikes said Lake Shore and running thence
Westerly along the South line of Elm Street to the West line of North
First Street; thence continuing West following the North line of the
old prison wall to its intersection with the East line of North Second
Street; thence to the low point of the ravine which bisects Blocks Two
and Three of County Auditor's Plat No. 3; thence proceeding Westerly
along the low point of said ravine to its intersection of North Second
Street in the City of Stillwater, which is the approximate point of inter-
section with North Fourth Street; thence to the center line of West
Hickory and proceeding Westerly on the center line of West Hickory
Street to its terminus; thence continuing Westerly along the unplatted
dirt roadway, which is a continuation of West Hickory Street to the
point of its intersection with McKusick Road; thence North along
McKusick Road to its intersection with the North line of Section 29,
Township 30 North, Range 20 West; thence West along the North Line of
Section 29 to the North -South center line of Section 29; thence South
along the North -South center line of Section 29 to the present boundary
line of the City of Stillwater; thence West and North along this boundary
to the point of its intersection with Neal Avenue.
3.02 Third Ward, Second Precinct, shall comprise all of the area of the
Third Ward lying South of the First Precinct."
Section 2. Repeal. All parts of Ordinance Numbers 515, 541 and 543 that
are inconsistent with this ordinance are repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication according to law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Stillwater this 18th day of
May, 1982.
