RESOLUTION 2024-12
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING EFFORTS OF STILLWATER POLICE DEPARTMENT
AND STILLWATER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR DOWNTOWN GRAFFITI
REMOVAL
WHEREAS, in mid-2024, the Stillwater Police Department observed a number of
properties impacted by unauthorized graffiti; and
WHEREAS, in addition to a robust investigation to attempt diversion of future graffiti
placement, the Stillwater Police Department, spearheaded by Sargent Josh Gow and
assisted by Officer Brandon Crosbie, organized a proactive community graffiti removal event
on Sunday, July 14, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the cleanup efforts were supported by the Stillwater Public Works
Department and many additional volunteers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STILLWATER HERITAGE
PRESERVATION COMMISSION:
Sargent Josh Gow, Officer Brandon Crosbie and Public Works Maintenance Workers
Jeff Melstrom, Dave Fleishacker, Dan Radke, and Josh Wille, and a number of community
volunteers are hereby recognized and commended for their efforts on beautifying Downtown
Stillwater and advancing the Heritage Preservation Commission's goals of Cultural and
Heritage Preservation.
Adopted by the Stillwater Heritage Preservation Commission this 17th day of July,
2024.
