NOVEMBER 28, 1950
A regular meeting .of the Stillwater Recreation Board was held at the
City Hall at 7:30 P.M. .on November 28, 1950.
Present were: B.oard members Bourda.ghs, Grove, Waldref, P.ozzintand
Swans.on.
Also present: Representing the Washington Pl'A -J.ohn Beske, Chairman,
A. L. Sjowall, Byr.on McMillan, Herbert Gardner.
Representing the J. C. Wives - Mrs. Jean Jacobs.on, Mrs.
Helen Mauer, Mrs. Ed Barski.
Representing the J.C's - Jim Rutten, Chester Sapa..
A discussi.on of the skating pr.ogram .occupied the entire meeting until
the retirement of thevisiters.
The Washington PTA asked help in moving warming house frem the South
Hill ball park te StaPes field. This matter was discussed in detail,
various ideas being proposed as to meth.ods .of hauling the warming
house and financing the move. The Beard promised its ce-eperatien.
The J.C. representatives, both men and women, jeined in the discussiens
and seemed satisfied that their wishes were being censidered.
After the visitors left the meeting a letter fr.om Ed McKnight was read
being his report en the swimming seasen at the st. Croix Beach together
with seme suggestiens fer the ceming year. This letter is attached te
these minutes in the Secretary's minute beek.
There was further discussien of skating, particularly with reference
to the se-called uPezzini Rink" on Seuth BIJoadway - which has been
flOOded, cleaned,. and supervised by B.oard member Pozzini for the kids
in his immediate neighb.orh.oed.
On m.otion of Swanson, secended by Grove and carried unanimously, the
City Fire Department was autherized and instructed to assist Lawrence
Pozzini infieoding the South Breadway rink.
On motien, the meeting was adjeurned.
