OCTOBER .31, 1950
A regular meeting of the Stillwater Recreation Board was held at the
City Hall at 7:30 P.M. on October 31, 1950.
Present were: Board members: Waldref, Pozzini, Bourdaghs, Grove, Cayoll
and Swanson.
Also present were the following who comprised the Advisory Committee (listed
with the organizations they represented):

Bourdaghs reported for the Skating Committee outlining the plans of the Board
for the 'VI'in.ter' program.
Grove reported for the st. Croix Beach Comm:i.ttee with a reS'WD.e of the' summer's
program.
Lawrence Pozzini and Clarence Cayou of the Playgrounds Committee reported as to
their summer program.
Each of these., reports was followed by considerable questioning and discllSsion
on the part of the Advisory Comm:i.ttee mellbers, a nu.mber of ideas and suggestions
receiving consideration of all present. Foll(i)'VI'in.g these reports the Advisory
Comm:i.ttee left. the meeting.
On motion of Pozzini, s.ecanded by Grove and carried unanimou.sly, Lyle Cran was
voted $10.00 for his work in cutting grass on Staples Field and Washington Park
during. the past summer.
On motion of Cayou, sec.onded by Swanson, carried unanimollSly, Douglas Ames lIaS
granted an addition.a1 $22.50 for his car expense this slD'lllller.
On motion of Pozzini, seconded by Bourdaghs, carried by unanimous vote, the
proper officials were instructed to install a new disposal., system at the St.
Croix Beach.
The weedy condition of 141y Lake was discussed and Val Radke instrueted to
take what action might be possible this fall toward removing weeds from the
beach area.
Clarence Cayou offered his resignation from the Board due to his JI.Oving :kD
to Philadelphia.
On motion, the meeting was adjourned.
