MR. REICHOW and MR. CONNERS presented the LOCAL 49 (Public Works/Parks) contract proposal
to the City Council. The proposal included changes to wage rates, vacation schedules,
grievance procedures, seniority and hospital/medical insurance. MR. KRIESEL said that
he had not been able to prepare a counter proposal at this time, but felt that this
meeting was beneficial in that the Union could explain their proposal to the City
Council. After some discussion on the contract proposal, MAYOR PETERSON asked Mr. Kriesel
to have a counter proposal ready by November 13, 1984.
NEW BRIDGE STUDY COMMISSION
MAYOR PETERSON told the Council that the Minnesota Department of Transportation in

the committee. MAYOR PETERSON said that he had talked to John Jewell and he was inter-
