Resolution No. 595-.
Resolved by the Council of the City od Stillwater as follows;
That, as Mr. Walter L. Prince has stated his whole time will be taken up in
the future,in the business enterprises with which he is connected and, therefore,
he cannot accept a reappointment as a member of the Managing Board of the Lakeview
Memorial. Hospital, and Mr. Charles W. Morton has tendered his resignation, which
has been regretfully accepted, as a member of the same Board because his own
business requires all of his time and attention,it deems it fitting that public
mention should be made of the fact that Mr. Prince and Mr. Morton have been members
of the Hospital Board ever since it was established by the joint action of the
Board of Wounty-ommissloners of Washington County and tne. Council of the City of
Stillwater in Ootober,1921,being two of the three original members of the Beard
representing the City of Stillwater.
There are many difficult problems to be solved in connection with the management
of the hospital, and these. two gentlemen have given freely of their time and
talents, without, pay,in the performance of their dutiesas public officials for the
benefit of thepeople of Washington County, and the Mayor and members of the
Council appreciate their long, efficient and faithftl service and thank them for
their civic devotion to the people of Washington County.
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to send a. copy of this resolution
to each of the gentlemen named.

capacity until his death.Tbat he performed his duties well and faithfully is best
attested by the fact that at his term of office from time to time expired, each Mayor
considered it an honor to reappoint him.
The management of the business connected with the Water Department of the
City is very important and requires men of experience and executive ability.
The City of Stillwater was :ortunate in having the gratuitous services of Mr. Olsen,
who gave unselfishly his time and talents in public service.
Mr. Olsen occupied a high place in the esteem and affection of the people
of stillwater, because of his sterling integrity and devotion to high ideals, which
characterized his personal life and business activities.Monurnents of his life:Mork
are the rrnnr" +rablic buildings and other structures scattered throughout the North-
west buthit.. by. him. Stillwater was always proud of his achievements as a contractor
and builder.
The Mayor and Council, with a feeling of personal lose, deeply deplore Mr. Olsenrs
death and extend to his bereaved family their sincere sympathy.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution to Mrs.
Olsen.
