RESOLUTION NO. 205

RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that former
Councilman Clarence D. Bourdaghs be and he is hereby commended for his long and
faithful service as a member of this public body; that recognition be'g_
fact that for a period of 10i years Councilman Pourdaghs dedicated hundreds of
hours, away from the comforts of his home and the associations of family and friends,
to the duties entrusted to him by the citizens of this community, whose confidence
he hal fully vindicated. His contribution to the physical health and welfare of
this City and to its continuing growth and development, unmotivated by pecuniary
gain and personal aggrandizement, merits the heartfelt gratitude of his contem-
poraries and will be cherished and remembered for a long time to come.
BE IT FURTER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to spread
this Resolution upon the official record of prodeedings of the Council and to
deliver a certified copy thereof to former Councilman Clarence D. Bourdagle.

RESOLUTION NO. 2056
RESOLUTION IR TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF FRANK !QLDEBRARDT.
BE IT IESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
to perpetuate the memory of the late Frank Hildebrandt, City Street Commissioner
for 27 years, who died December 26, 195R, the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to enter this Resolution upon the official record of proceedings of the
Council. This Council, and those others who had the privilege of working with
him throughout the years, will remember Frank Hildebrandt for his cheerfulness
and for the characteristics of honesty, dependability, and resourcefulness which
rendered his services invaluable to this City. It was a pleasure to know and
to work with him.
Let a r'rtified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the wife and children
of the said Frank Hildebrandt.

-the firm of Moody and Springsted, St. Paul, Minnesota, municipal bond consultants,
be employed to act as fiscal agent in connection with financing of the proposed
construction of interceptor sewers and waste treatment works by the City.

RESOLUTION NO. 2058 S
RESOLUTION ORDERING NEARING ON SEWER IMPROVEMENT.
PR IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, as follows: E
1. It is hereby found and determined that Banister Engineering Company has re-
ported to this Council that the improvement consisting of the construction of
sewage treatment facilities and interceptor sewers of the City is feasible
and may Fest be made as proposed, and not in conlunetlon with any other im-
rovements, and that the estimated cost of said improvement to the City is
M750,000.00.
2. This Council shall meet at the City Nall on Thursday, the 5th day of February,
1959, at 7:30 P.M., for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the making
of the above described improvement.
The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause proper notice of the time, place
and purpose of said meeting to be published in the Stillwater Evening Gazette
in the issues of said paper dated January 23 end January 30, 1959. Said notice
shall be In substantially the following form:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON SEWER IMPROVEMENT
NOTICE IS RERMBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Stillwater,
Minnesota, will meet on Thursday, the 5th day of February, 1959, at 7t30 P.M.,
at the City Nall in said City, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a
proposed sewer improvement in the City.
Said proposed Improvement shall consist of the construction of sewage
treatment facilities and as a part thereof construetion of the following inter-
ceptor sewers:
On Mulberry Street from the existing storm
sewer which flows northerly on private
property between 2nd Street and Main Street
and now discharges into a combined sewer at
a point approximately midway between End
Street and Main Street easterly approximate-
ly 586 feet to a point where it will connect
with the existing 42 inch sewer east of the
railroad tracks on Mulberry Street;
On Myrtle Street from the existing catch
basin at the southeast corner of 5th Street
and Myrtle Street easterly approximately
162 feet to a point where it will connect to
the westerly end of the existing storm sewer;
and
From the easterly cutlet of the existing Elm
Street sewer southerly along the St. Croix
River to the site of the sewage treatment
plant located on a part of Government Lot 5,
Section 34, Town 30 North, Range 20 Rest,
according to the preliminary plans contained in
the report of Banister Engineering Company
on file and of record in the office of the Clerk
of the City of Stillwater.
The estimated cost of said improvement to the City of Stillwater is 8750,000.00.
The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement includes all properties
within the corporate limits of the City abutting upon or connecting to the present
sewer mains and those proposed to be constructed as above described.

RESOLUTION NO. 2059
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Chicago, M3lwaukee,St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company, through
its Industrial and Real Estate Development Department, has offered to convey to the
Swo City all of its right, title and interest in and to that certain One Hundred (100)
foot right of way running over and across Government Lot Five (5), Section Thirty-four
(34), Township Thirty (30) North, Range Twenty (20) West, Washington County, Minnesota,
as described in that certain Warranty Deed executed by Isaac Staples and Olivia Staples,
August 7, 1884 and recorded September 4, 1884, 1n Book 15 of Deeds,page 39, for and
In consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00); and
WHEREAS, said land 1s required by the City as part of the site for oonstruction
of a proposed waste treatment plant;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Washington
County, Minnesota, that the said offer of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St.Paul and Pacific
Railroad Company be, and the same is hereby, accepted; and that upon tender to the
City of a good and sufficient deed of said property, a warrant be drawn upon the City
Treasurer in payment of the consideration therefor as hereinbefore expressed.

RESOLUTION N0. 2060
RESOLUTION ORDERING SEWER IMPROVEMENT No. 1-1959, AND DIRECTING PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota as follows:
1. Notice of hearing on a sewer improvement in the City has heretofore been duly
published in the Stilihter Evening Gazette, the official newspaper of the City,
on January 23, 1959, and January 30, 1959, as required by Minnesota Statutes
1957, Chapter 429, and as ordered by resolution of this Counoil adopted on
January 20, 1959.
2. A public hearing having been held on this date and opportunity having been
given at such hearing to all persons to make known their views on said improve-
ment, and this Council, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does here-
by order the construction of said improvement, in accordance with the descrip-
tion.thereof wntained in said notice of hearing, and said improvement shall
hereafter be referred to as Sewer Improvement No.1-1959 of the City.
3. The area to be assessed to nay the cost of said improvement shall include all
of the property designated as the area proposed to be assessed in the published
notice of hearing.
4. Banister Engineering Co. of St. Paul, Minnesota, is hereby authorized and di-
rected to prepare final glans and specifications for the construction of said
improvement, and to submit them to this Council.

RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, it has been made to appear to the Council that certain proposed private
construction and use upon property in close proximity to the McEusick Spring,
Jordan Deep Well and gravity line, facilities vital to the water supply system
of the City and located upon Lots Seven (7), Nineteen (19) and Twenty (20), Flock
Twenty-one (21), of the piet of the Original Town (now city) of Stillwater, con-
stitutes a potential source of contamination to• water supplies through said facil-
ities; and
WHEREAS, In the interests of the health and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City, it appears to be necessary and expedient that the City acquire title to
property contiguous to said water supply facilities so as to provide a zone of
protecoftio

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STILLWATER, MINNESOTA, that
subject to the approval of the Board of Rater Commissioners of said City and the
approval of the said State Board of Health, the proper officers of the City be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute, deliver and accept in
behalf of the City all necessary and proper deeds of conveyance or other instru-
ments to effectuate and carry out the purposes and intentions of the following
transfers and agreements relating to land heretofore negotiated and agreed upon
by and between the City and the St. Croix Development Co. of Stillwater, Minnesota,
to-wltt
1. The said St. Croix Development Co. shall convey unto the City by War-
ranty Deed good title to the following described property, viz:
The North Ten (10) feet of the East One Hundred (100)
feet and the West Fifty (50) feet of Lot Eight (8) the
North Thirteen (13) feet of the West Twenty-five (25) feet
of Lot Nine (9), and the North Thirteen (13) feet of the
East Forty (40) feet of Lot Eighteen (18), all in Block
Twenty-one (21) of the Original Town (now City) of Still-
water.
2. The City shall convey unto the said St. Croix Development Co., or its
assigns, the following described property, viz:
Lots Twenty-seven(27) and Thirty (30) of the County
Auditor's Flat lo. 2;
subject to restrictions, however, that no construction or installation of any
kind will be made in or upon said property unless first approved by the City,
the Board of Water Commissioners, and the State Board of Health, end nothing
shall be done therein or thereon, which in the judgment of competent authority,
may directly or indirectly, create a possible source of contamination to said
water supply; provided, however, said restrictions shall remain in force only
so long as said Spring. Well and gravity line are used in connection with the
water system of the City.
3. The City shall grant unto the said St. Croix Development Co., or its
assign, a 30-year lease of the following described property, at a rental of
S1.00 annually, viz:
The West Forty (40) feet of Lots Nineteen (19), Twenty
(20),t Twenty-one (21) and Twenty -Two (22) in Block Twenty-
one (21) of the Original Town (now City) of Stillwater;
provided, however, that (1) said leased premises shall be used exclusively for
the purpose of parking vehicles; (2) no buildings or other structures shall be
placed or erected thereon; and (3) said lease shall be subject to immediate
termination whenever, in the judgment of competent authority, it shall he found
that the use of said premises in any way or manner constitutes a possible source
ms of contamination to said water supply; and provided further that before said
premises shall be used for such purpose, they shall be graded, sloped and sur-
faced by the said lessee, at its own cost and expense, in such manner as to
divert drainage in a westerly direction and away from the general area of said
water supply facilities.

across the following described property, viz:

1. That the final plans and specifications for tne construction of sewage
treatment facilities and interceptor sewers of the City, prepared and submitted
by Banister Engineering Company of St. .aul, Minnesota as

NOW, ThEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater,
Minnesota, that the foregoing bids of the said lowest responsible bidders be and they
are hereby accepted; and that upon the official approval of this action by the Proper
State and Federal agencies, the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into contracts in the name of the City of Stillwater with the Acton
Construction Co. of St. Paul, Minnesota, for the construction of the aforesaid Project
No.1, with Earbarossa and Sons, Inc., of St. Cloud, Minnesota, for the construction
of the aforesaid Project No.2 and with the Hurley Construction Crapeny of St. Paul,
Minnesota, for the construction of the aforesaid Project No. 3, each of said contracts
to be in accordance with the plans and specifications for the respective projects on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to return forthwith to all bidders the dimes/to made w ith their bide, except that the
deposits of the three lowest bidders for each project shall be retained for thirty
days or until a contract is signed, whichever event first occurs.

be issued and aold a Certificate of Indebtedness In the amount of Two Thousand
Two Hundred Fifty-eight and 04/130 (2258.04) Dollars, in anticipation of the
collection of special assessments levied or to be levied on property specially
benefited by sewers in East Balsam Street between North First and North Second
Streets and North First Street between East Sycamore and East Balsam Streets, said
project being designated as Local Improvement No. 19, 1959.
Said Certificate shall be dated August 21, 1959, shall be payable to the bearer
on or before December 31, 1969, at the office of the City Treasurer, City Hall, Still-
water, Minnesota, and shall bear Interest at the rate of Five (5) per cent per annum
from date of issue until paid.
Said Certificate shall be numbered and in the amount as follows:
Certificate numbered one, $2258.4.
It shall be signed in the name of the City by its Mayor and C ity Clerk and shall
bear the official seal of the City. It shall be a general obligation of the City

RESOLUTION CREATING OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, APPOINTING OFFICER
TO SAME AND EMPLOYING CONSULTING ENGINEERS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Washington County,
Minnesota, that the office of Superintendent of Public Works be end the same is
hereby created; and that said office be filled by appointment of a qualified of-
ficial whose duty it shall be to generally supervise and direct all of the public
wcrk activities of the City from and after the date hereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resignation of Ronald E.Ehlinger, appointed City
Engineer by Resolution dated October 7, 195B, be and the same 1s hereby accepted;
and that the said Ronald E.Ehlinger be and be is hereby appointed to the office of
Superintendent of Public Works at a salary of e600.00 per month to be paid as in
the cue of other appointed City officials, said resignation and appointment to
become effective immediately upon adoption of this Resolution by a majority vote
of the City Council;

esota, be and they are hereby retained by the City as consulting engineers to

RESOLUTION CREATING 1959 SEWER IMPROVEMENT FUND, PROVIDING FOR AND APPROPRIATING
GENERAL AD VALOREM TAXES AND SPECIALASSESStENTS FOR THE SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE
THEREOF AND DIRECTING ISSUANCE OF SEWER INFhOVEIU:NT BONDS OF 1959.
BE I'I RESOLVED by the City Counc it of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, as follows:
1. This Council hereby finds and determines that it has lawfully ordered
Sewer Improvement No. 1-1959 pursuant to public hearing held as required by law;
that it has caused plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the engineer
for the City, and bids for the construction thereof to be received and opened in ac-
cordance with law; that the total cost of said improvement is estimated to be
$950,000, and funds are on hand or will become available sufficient to pay $250,000
.� of said cost; that the total benefits resulting from said improvement to the lots,
pieces, and parcels of land assessed therefor, and to the City at large, will be
substantially in excess of the total cost of said improvement; thatit is necessary
to borrow the sum of 4700,000 for the purpose of paying the costs of said improve-
ment which cannot be paid from funds on hand; end that such sum of 4700,000 may best
be borrowed by the issuance of the general obligation improvement bonds of the City
in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes of 1957.
2. There is hereby created a separate fund to be designated as the "1959
Sewer Improvement Fund", to be held and administered by the City Treasurer separate
and apart from all other funds of the City. In said fund there shall be maintained
two separate accounts, to be HIlown as the "Construction Account" and the "Sinking
Fund Account", respectively. Into said Construction Account shall be paid the pro-
ceeds of bele of the improvement bonds herein authorized, lees accrued interest received
thereon. From said account there shall be paid costs and expenses of making said
improvement, as incurred and allowed, and the moneys in said account shall be used
for no other purpose; provided, that if upon completion of said improvement there
shall remain any unexpended balance in se.id account, such balance shall be transferred
to the Sinking Fund Account. Said Sinking Fund Account shall be held and administered
by the City Treaaurer as a separate debt redemption fund on the books of the City,
in accordance with the provisions of Section 429.091 (4), Minnesota Statutes 1957.
and shall be continued and maintained in the manner herein specified until all of the
improvement bonds herein authorized and interest thereon shall have been duly paid.
There shall be credited to the said account allcollections of the general ad valorem
taxes and special assessments levied for said improvement, and there shall be credited
to said Sinking Fund Account all accrued interest received upon delivery of said
bonds. The moneys in -said account shall be held and used only for the payment of the
principal of and interest on said bonds- as such payments become due. The full faith
andcredit of the City shall be and are hereby pledged to pay said bonds end interest,
and the principal and interest thereof shall be paid out of any funds in the treasury,
if the moneys on hand in said sinking fund are at anytime insufficient to meet the
payment of maturing principal and interest. The City hereby recognizes its obliga-
tion to levy sufficient taxes t. take care of deficiencies, as provided in Minne-
sota Statutes 1957, Section 429.091 (2).
3. It is hereby determined and ordered that the sum of not less than TWO
HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO-100 DOLLARS ($234,000) of the cost of 1959 Sewer
Improvement shall be paid by special assessments to be forthwith levied upon all
assessable lots, pieces and parcels of land benefited thereby and located within the
area proposed to be assessed, based upon the special benefits received by each such
lot, piece or parcel. It is found and determined that said sum hereafter to be
assessed for said improvement does not exceed the total benefits conferred and to be
conferred by said improvement upon allot said properties. The City hereby covenants
and agrees that it will do and perform, as soon as may be, all acts and things neces-
sary for the final and valid levy of special assessments for said 1959 Sewer Improve-
ment against benefited properties in an amount not less than above stated. In the
event that any assessment hereafter levied to pay for said Improvement be at any time
held invalid with respect to any lot, piece or parcel of land, due to any error, defect
or irregularity in any action or proceeding taken or to be taken by the City or this
Council or any of the C ity's officers or employees, either in the making of such
assessment or in the performance of any condition precedent thereto, the City and this
Council hereby covenant end agree that they will forthwith do all such further acts
and take all such further proceedings as may be required by law to make such assess-
ment a valid and binding lien upon such property. Said assessments shall be payable
in 20 equal, consecutive, annual installments, the first of said installments to be
payable with general taxes for 1960, collectible with such taxes during the year 1961.
Deferred installments shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6;'s') per annum
from the date of the resolution levying the assessment until December 31 of the year
in which the installment is payable.
4. For the purpose of paying the cost of said improvement heretofore deter-
mined to be paid by the City from ad valorem taxes, there is hereby levied upon all
of the taxable property in the City a ddrect, annual, ad valorem tax, which shall be
spread upon the tax roils for the years and in the amounts stated below, said levies
to bo collected together with and as a part of othea general property taxes in the
respective ensuing years:

able primarily from said Sinking Fund Account. Said bonds shall be dated November 1,
1959, shall be 700 in number and numbered from 1 to 700 inclusive, each in the de-
nomination of 11,000. Said bonds shall mature in order of serial numbers, on May 1,
in the annual amounts set forth below opposite each maturity year, and the bonds of
each maturity shall bear interest at the rate per annum shown opposite the maturity

incurred and to be incurred in constructing Sewer Improvement No.1-1959 in said City,
and is issuedpursuant to and in full conformity with the Constitution and laws of
the State of Minnesota thereunto enabling, including Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes
1957. This bond is payable primarily from the Sinking Fund Account in the 1959
Sewer Improvement Fund of the City, but the Council 1e required to pay the principal
and interest thereof out of any funds in the treasury in the event that the moneys
on hand 1n said fund are at any time insufficient to meet the payment of maturing
principal and interest.
Bonds of this issue numbered 1 to 455, inclusive, are payable on their respec-
tive stated maturity dates, without option of prior payment. Bonds numbered 456
to 700, inclusive, maturing in 1975 and later years are each subject to redemption
and prepayment, In inverse order of serial numbers, at the option of the City, on
May 1, 1974, and any subsequent interest payment date, et par and accrued interest,
upon notice of call for redemption mailed not less then 30 days prior to the date
specified for redemption to the holder, if known, and to the bank at which the bonds
are then payable. Holders of redeemable bonds wishing to receive such notice must
register their names and addresses and the serial numbers of their bonds in the of-
fice of the City Treasurer.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED, RECITED, COVENANTED AND AGREED that all acts, condi-
tions and things required by the Constitution and laws of the Stateot Minnesota to
be done, to exiet, to happen, and to be performed preliminary to and in the 'eau -
ante of this bond in order to make it a valid and bindinggeneral obligation of said
City according to its terms have been done, do exist, have happenaed and have been
performed as so required; that the City has duly contracted for the making of said
improvement and will cause the same to be completed with the funds made available

and in aggregate amounts at least five per cent in excess of sumo sufficient to

City without limitation as to rate or amount; and that the issuance of this bond
did not cause the indebtedness of said City to exceed any constitutional or statu-

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION PERMITS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, tt at the
Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute in behalf
of the City that certain agreement No. 87394 with the Northern Pacific Railway
Company, wherein the City is granted permission to construct, operate and maintain
a part of its interceptor sewer system upon railroad right of way under and pur-
suent to the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in consideration of the grant of such permission, the

RESOLUTION DIRECTING CONDEMMATION OF LAND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS
AND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT.
WHEREAS, it is necessary, advisable and in the public interest that the
City of Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota, construct a sewage treatment
plant, together with certain interceptor sewer and force main facilities inci-
dental thereto; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish such purpose it is necessary to acquire the
land owned by Robert A. Peters and Victoria Peters, husband and wife, as joint
tenants and not as tenants in common, lying and being in the County of Washing-
ton and State of Minnesota, described as follows, to -wit:
All that part of Government Lot Five (5), Section Thirty-four (34), Town-
ship Thirty (30, Haiage Twenty (20) described as follows: Beginning at a
point on the North line of said Government Lot Five (5) where the same 1s
intersected by the Easterly line of the right of way of the Chicago, Mil-
waukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway Co. (now vacated), thence East along
the North line of said Government Lot Five (5) for a distance of Two Hun-

WHEREAS, by reason of such refusal to sell the land and easements above de-
scribed to the said City, it has become necessary to procure title to such land
and easements by right of eminent domain:
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Stillwater, Washington County,
Minnesota, that proceedings to procure title to said land and easements under
and pursuant to the City's right of eminent domain be initiated and that the
City Attorney be and he is hereby directed to file the necessary petition
therefor and to prosecute such action to a successful conclusion or until it is
abandoned, dismissed or otherwise terminated by the City or by the Court; and
that the City Attorney, the Mayor and the City Clerk do all things necessary to

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF FUNDS SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1-1959
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to invest $545,000.00 of the proceeds from the sale of sewer improvement bonds
to John Nuveen & Company of Chicago, Illinois, and Associates, in United States
Treasury notes to mature at such times and in such amounts as may be required
to meet construction costs in conneotion with Sewer Improvement No.1-1959, as
the same shall become due and payable by the City.
Adopted by the Council this 24th day of November, 1959.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF EMPLOYER'S CONTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT FUND.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Laws of Minnesota, 1957, Chapter 353, Section 353.27,
Subdivisions 1 and 3; and Section 353.28, Subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7,
the employer contribution of the City of Stillwater to the Public Employees Re-
tirement Fund for the flied of July 1, 1957 to July 1, 1956, has been deter-
mined by the Retirement Board of the Public Employees Retirement Association in
the sum of $7,680.54 and certified to the City;
AND WHEREAS, proper taxes have been levied for the payment thereof;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
the said sum of $7,680.54 be deposited by the City in the Public Employees Re-
tirement Fund as its contribution to said fund for the period aforesaid and •
proper warrant is hereby ordered drawn upon the City Treasurer, accordingly.

RESOLUTION IN TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF ARTHUR W. KLEINSCHNITZ
WHEREAS, Arthur W. Nleinschnitz was at the time of his death on the 9th day
of November, 1959, a member of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City
of Stillwater, Minnesota, serving as president thereof, and was, in addition
thereto, Director of the Civil Defense program of said City, and a member of
the Port Commission, having rendered dedicated service in each of said capa-
cities, contributing greatly to the welfare and growth of this community.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Councilof the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
in memory of the said Arthur W.Nleinschnitz, and in recognition of his long
and faithful public service, the CityClerk is hereby authorized and directed
to enter this Resolution upon the official record of proceedings of this Coun-
cil, and thereupon to forward certified copies thereof to Anna Hleinsehnitz,
widow of the said Arthur W,Hleinschnitz, and to Muriel Reiland, his daughter.

RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND ESTABLISHING REVISED ASSESSMENTS FOR INSTALLATION
OF WATER MAINS WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT N0. 4-1955
WHEREAS, the Council did by Resolution approved April 3, 1956, confirm end
establish assessments of a portion of the cost of Water Main Improvement No.4-
1956, against certain private property benefited by said Improvement, includ-
ing certain lots and parcels of land situated in Radle's Sunny Slope Addition;
and
WHEREAS, subsequently and thereafter, the plat of said Radle's Sunny Slope Addi-
tion was rearranged in such manner as to materially alter and affect the descrip-
tions of certain lots therein; and
WHEREAS, the Counoilhas been presented with a revised assessment roll ,herein
original assessments levied against said lots in Radle's Sunny Slope Addition
are reapportioned and levied upon certain lots as designated and described in
the rearranged plat thereof.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
the said revised assessments be, and the same are hereby, confirmed and estab-
ilahed.

December 9, 1959, Betty M. Roloff is hereby appointed a clerical assistant in
the office of the City Clerk and City Treasurer at a salary of Two Hundred
Fifty (250.00) Dollars per month, payable semi-monthly together with medical
surgical and hospitalization benefits as in the case of other City employees.
AND THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERF are hereby authorized and directed to draw their
warrants upon the City Treasurer accordingly.
