Madden. IT IS THEREFORE IL1OLVED, by the Council, that the Clerk place permanently upon the Council minutes the following remarks; William J. Wadden was a splendid example of the best in American life. 110 was a man of high character, kindly and unselfish towards all his associates and possessed a friendly and cheerful disposition that are attributes of but few of the best of our citizens. he was a busy man with his own private affairs, but never too busy to devote much of his time and energy to the public service of the community. He took some ^ par` in practically every effort made for Stiliwater's betterment during the .aany years he lived here, this most conspicious of which was, perhaps, his twenty-five years of service as a member of the uoard of -'ducaticn of the City. +wring the last eight years of his life he was President of that Board. "Se life was a distinct inspiration ----and his death a very grave loss to all the citizens of .atillwater. IT I5 FURTHER ORDERED, that the Clerk send a copy of this resolution to Mrs. Wadden.
