A regular meeting of the Stillwater Recreation Board was
held at the City Hall Mal'.2I,I956 at 7:30P.M.
Present were:C.D.Bourdaghs,Lawrence Junker,Arthur Bartky,
William L. O'Brien.
Reports on Committees:
akating Rinks-Mr.Junker
The skating p~ogram was carried out as planeed
and everyone seemed well satisfied.
Lily Lake Beach-Mr.Bartkey
Mr.Bartkey is to proyide vents for the rest
rooms at Lily Lake.
On motion mAde and carried Gene Lampi was ~ehired at
Lily Lakeat a, salary of$I70 per.month.
OOn motion made and carried Barbara Plourde was rehired
at the Legion Beach at $I75 a month.
Mr.Bartkey agreed to have signs made stating:
Beginners
Non-Swimmers
.
~~.Bartkey was asked to look into the buying o~ a new
dock at Bayport to see what the cost and si~e is going
to be.
The secretary was asked to Write to Allied Spraymen
again as they did not answer our last letter.
An announcement is to be made that all people interested
in being a life guard report to the City Hall at A:OO P.M.
Wed. ,April 25.
On motion made and carried Me.Bourdaghs was asked to see
about the buying of a new boat for the Legion Beach and
also see about the buying of new playground equipement
for the beach.
~~.Bourdaghs was asked to check on the cost of uldwig Moan,
caretaker at the baseball field,and on the cost of lights
at the softball field.
A report on the Legion Beach by :E;dward McKnight was approved
by the board.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.

A regular meeting of the Stillwater Recreation Board was held
at the City Hall April 2I,I956.
Present were:C.D. Bourdaghs,Lawrence Junker,Arthur Bartky,
Robert Ludwig,William L. 0' Brien.
Reports on Committees:
Softball-Mr. Junker
-LeRoy Christensen and Edward Gwmm asked for a caretaker at
the athletic field.
On motion LeRoy is to hire a caretaker for the athletic
field and Staples field at $I.25 per.hr. and a limit of
$115.00.
On motion carried $I50 is to be spent on softball lights.
Lily Lake Peach-Mr. Bartky
On motion carried Harold Lange was rehired at Lily Lake
for $I60 per. month.
Glass blocks are to be repaired at'the beach house.
Legion Beach- Mr. Bourdaghs
A boat was bought for the beach at a cost of $230.00
The American Legion Has bought playground equipement
for the Legion Beach.
On motion carried Tom Brudosand Tim MacDonald were
hired as life guards at $I60 per. month.
Life guard hours will be ~rom I2 :00 noon to 8;30, P.M.
On motion Mr. Bourdaghs is to call Allied Spraymen about spraying
of weeds at Lily Lake.
On motion carried $IOO will be spent toward Legion Baseball.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
