HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-016 (2023-2025 Labor Agreement Between the City of Stillwater and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49)City of Stillwater Washington County, Minnesota RESOLUTION 2023-016 APPROVING THE 2023-2025 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF STILLWATER AND INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL 49 BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the 2023-2025 Labor Agreement between the City of Stillwater and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49, as on file with the City Clerk, is hereby approved including the following changes: a a • Contract Duration: Three (3) year agreement January 1, 2023 through Deccember 31, 2025 Wages: 3% increase 2023, 3% increase 2024, 3% increase 2025 Health Insurance: Increase monthly employer contribution for the plan by $15 per month in 2023, $15 per month in 2024, and $15 per month in 2025 Safety Shoe: $25 increase in 2024; $25 increase in 2025 • Wastewater Certification: Effective January 1, 2023, add SC $50; SD $40 • Juneteenth: If the Minnesota State legislature amends its list of official state holidays, outlined in Minnesota Statute §645.44, subd. 5, to include Juneteenth, then Article 20.1 of the Labor Agreement shall be modified effective upon the effective date of the legislation to include Juneteenth as a designated holiday. • Training Center: Memorandum of Agreement in support of adding a one- year pilot program for $17.33 per month per employee to support tuition - free staff training. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Stillwater City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the agreement. Adopted by the Stillwater City Council this 17th day of January, 2023.
