RESOLUTION NO. 4740
RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTING
CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, this Council did, on the llth day of July, 1972, receive the
preliminary report of the City Engineer that the following described
improvements are feasible, and may be made as proposed:
Construction of water mains and sanitary and storm
sewer extensions in the Croixwood Development, First
Addition.
NOW, THEREBORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater,
Minnesota:
1. It is hereby ordered that said improvement shall be made without a public
hearing first being held thereon, and that the entire cost of said improve-
ment shall be d against the properties of the petitioners. The
petitioners shall before the letting of the contract sign an agreement
with the City that 100% of the assessments accruing in the project shall
be paid in full by the end of three (3) years from the date of certification.
2. The City's Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to prepare final
plane and specifications for said improvement and to submit them to this
Council.
3. Said improvements shall hereafter be known and referred to as "Local
Improvement No. 106".
4. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to
advertise for bids on the construction of said improvements, publication
thereof to be made at least once in the official newspaper of the City,
not less than ten days prior to the date hereinafter set for opening and
consideration of bids. Said advertisement shall specify the work to be
done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened for consideration by
the Council at 3:00 o'clock P. M. on Thursday, August 3, 1972, and shall
further state no bids will be considered unless sealed' and filed with the
Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check, payable to the City, for at least ten (10) per cent
of the amount of the bid.
