RESOLUTION NO. 4714
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF OWENS STREET BETWEEN WILKINS STREET
AND THE NORTH CITY LIMITS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY AND WASHINGTON COUNTY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENT,
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NO. 104.
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted March 7, 1972, this council did fix a date
for a public hearing on proposed improvement consisting of the following:
Watermains, Sanitary Seser Mains, Water and Sewer Services,
storm sewer, curb and gutters, trees and landscaping and
surfacing on Owens Street from West Wilkins Street to the
North City Limits.
AND WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published in the Stillwater Evening
Gazette, official newspaper of the City, on the 29th day of March, 1972,
and mailed as required by law, said hearing was held at the Municipal
Building at 713O o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, the llth day of April, 1972, at
which time and place all persons desiring to be heard on said improvement
were given an opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED, by the City Council of the .ity of Stillwater,
Minnesotan
1. That the aforesaid improvement be, and is hereby, ordered as proposed
at an estimated cost of $35,000.00, and that final detailed plans and specifications
therefor, prepared by the Washington County Engineer, and the same are hereby,
approved and ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk.
2. That an agreement be entered into with Washington County for the
following purposes, to -wit:
To reconstruct County State Aid Highway No. 5 from approximately
Wilkins Street to the North City limits of Stillwater in accordance with
the terms and conditions set forth and contained in Agreement No. 7205,
a copy of which was before the Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the Council and Clerk be and they
hereby are authorizedto execute such agreement, and thereby assume for and
on behalf of the City all of the contractual obligations contained therein.
Adopted by the City Council this llth day of April, 1972.
