HomeMy WebLinkAbout6527 (Res.)6527 RESOLUTION ORDERING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NO. 157 WHEREAS, this Council did, on the 25th day of July, 1978 receive the preliminary report of the City Engineer that the following described improvements are feasible, and may be made as proposed, in connection with Local Improvements No. 157, viz: Sanitary sewers, watermains, streets, drainage and other appurtenances to serve the Stillwater Industrial Park, Phase II. and the engineer is hereby ordered to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has further reported to the Council that the estimated cost of said improvement is $1,046,850.00; WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements includes all property abutting and non -abutting upon the portions of said streets above described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota: 1. That the Council shall meet at the Municipal Building in said City on Tuesday, the 22nd day of August, 1978 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the making said improve- ments and that the Acting City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause proper_ notice of the time, place and purpose of said hearing to be published in the Stillwater Evening Gazette, official newspaper of the City, and mailed as required by law. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue im- mediately with the State Historical Society. 171 Said newspaper is made available at single or subscription prices to any person, corporation, partnership or other unincorporated association requesting the newspaper and making the applicable payment. 18) Said newspaper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least one year preceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below. i9) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1. 1966 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the Publisher and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
