BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the employment of Louis Haynes for weekdays caretaker for the warming house at Staples Field Skating Rink; and Steven Heimerman for weekdays at the Northland Park Skating Rink; and Scott Schley for the weekend relief at Staples Field and Perry Furgale for the weekend relief at the Northland Park Skating Rink from and after the 4th day of December, 1984, be, and the same is hereby approved and that as compensation for ser- vices rendered in such employment, the said Louis Hayes and Steven Heimerman shall receive the sum of $4.00 per hour and the said Scott Schley and Perry Furgale shall receive the sum of $4.50 per hour. COURT COUNTY OF WASHINGTON TENTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT In re the Appointr ent of a Charter Commission to Revise, Amend or Form a Charter for the Government of the City of. Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota, pursuant to the Provisions of Article XI of the Constitution and of Chapter 410 of the Minnesota Statutes BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater: 1) Whereas, Paul M. Ammerman was appointed a member of the Charter Commission of the City of Stillwater by the District Court of the Tenth Judicial District on May 23, 1984, which order was filed in the office of the Clerk of the District Court in Washington County on the 25th day of May, 1984 and Whereas, Paul M. Amerman has declined the appoint- ment because of the requirements of his employment that now requires him to work and reside in southwestern Minnesota. 2) and Whereas, since Paul M. Ammerman has failed to qualify for and accept the position, the City Council hereby resolves that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 410.05 that this Resolution be prepared in order that a proper request be made of the Chief Judge of the Tenth Judicial District that this position on the Charter Commission be filled. 3) that pursuant to the terms of Minnesota Statutes Section 410.05, Subdivision 3, the City Council hereby requests that the Chief Judge appoint Thomas N. Farrell, 205 Crestwood Terrace, Stillwater, Minnesota a qualified voter of the City of Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota to serve on the Charter Commission for a tens of four years. • • • RESOLUTION N0. 7422 - continued 4) that the City Attorney has hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Clerk of District Court, County of Washington, Tenth Judicial Dis- trict, who is requested to present this Resolution to the Honorable Spencer J. Sokolowski, Chief Judge of the Tenth Judicial District that he might make his order subject to the Statutes in such case made and provided. Attest: n rcC1 j ng ity Cl e RESOLUTION N0. 7423 RESOLUTION HONORING COACH THOLE Mayor CITY OF STILLWATER PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Football Teams representing Stillwater High School have won Minnesota Class AA Championships in the years 1975, 1982 and 1984, and WHEREAS, the HEAD COACH of those teams has been George L. Thole, and WHEREAS, said George L. Those is the first Minnesota Football Coach to have led teams to three Class M Championships in the history of high school competition in that sport, and WHEREAS, that record has brought prominent recognition to Independent School District 834 and the City of Stillwater, NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY D. PETERSON, MAYOR of the CITY OF STILLWATER, do declare Wednesday, December 5, 1984 as GEORGE L. THOSE DAY in this City and urge all persons to duly accord COACH THOSE personal and written commendations for the athletic record which his leadership efforts have established.
