HomeMy WebLinkAbout7377 (Res.)m 209`\ m • RESOLUTION N0. 7376 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A TIME EXTENSION FOR THE OBLIGATION OF FEDERAL AID URBAN FUNDS. WHEREAS, the State Aid Office of the MinnesolaDepartment of Transportation developed a policy concerning the annual obligation of Federal Aid Urban (FAU) funds on July 7, 1978; and WHEREAS, according to this policy the City of Stillwater must obligate approximately $50,000 by September 30, 1984, or lose the funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Stillwater has a number of potential and impending projects which will require FAU funds such as McKusick Road (FAU 5295) and Churchill Street (FAU 5292); and WHEREAS, tne enforcement of this policy will adversely affect the funding and construction of these projects; and WHEREAS, the City of Stillwater has been steadfastly processing the project located at Stillwater Boulevard and Orleans Street since the fall of 1982 based on the predication of using FAU funds; and WHEREAS, the City has encountered miscellaneous project processing obstacles which have been beyond their control; and WHEREAS, the project is now close to final approval but will not meet the Minnesota Department of Transpor..,tion policy deadline; and WHEREAS, other similar MinnesotaDepar have tment of Transportationmilar extensions in the policy deadlinefrom the NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Stillwater, that the State Aid Office of the fortheobligation nof approximatelyion is $50,000eofbFederalsAid Urband to ant an funds.extension of one year Adopted this 18th day of September, 1984. Published: September 25, 1984 A Attest: CITY COORDINATOR Mayor RESOLUTION N0. 7377 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT IN LOTS 1, 2 AND 3, BLOCK 1, WESTPHAL HEIGHTS. WHEREAS, a petition has been received from William and Laura Westphal requesting the installation of certain utility improvements for Lors 1, 2 and 3, Block 1, Westphal Heights; WHEREAS, the petition has been executed by all the owners of the property described above, who have agreed to the assessment of entire cost against their properties; WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the utility improvements have been prepared by Short -Elliott -Hendrickson, Inc.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota that the petition meets the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.031, subd. 3, and said improvement is hereby ordered to be made in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofr ie prepared.
