RESOLUTION N0. 7358
RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF SOUTH FIFTH STREET.
WHEREAS, at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Stillwater, a petition was
presented praying for a vacation of part of South Fifth Street in the City of Stillwater,
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did determine that the petition was properly verified and signed
by abutting owners of the portion of the street proposed to be vacated; and the City Council
determined that they are a Home Rule Charter City of the Third Class and that it was proper
for them to proceed with the vacation pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 440.135; and
WHEREAS, at a meeting duly called for that purpose, the City Council did on the 4th day of
September, 1984, determine that the proposed vacation would not interfer or defeat the
public interest or adversely affect the public and that it would be in the best interests
of the City of Sdillwater and the abutting owners that the portion of South Fifth Street be
returned to the tax rolls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STILLWATER, MINNESOTA:
That said petition be and the same is hereby granted and that the following part of said
street as presently laid out and deidicated be and the same is hereby vacated:
That portion of South Fifth Street abutting Lots 6, 7, 8 and 9 in
Block 22 of the Original City of Stillwater, and the east side of
County Auditor's Plat #2, for a distance of 165 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution duly certified by the City Clerk
shall be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Washington County, Minnesota.
Adopted by the affirmative vote of all members of the City Council this
4th day of September, 1984.

RESOLUTION NO. 7359
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS - L. I. NO. 219
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 17th day of July, 1984, fixed a date
for a Council hearing on the proposed 1984 Overlay Project.
AND WHEREAS, ten days published notice of the hearing through publication of the required
notice was given and the hearing was held thereon on the 7th day of August, 1984, at which
all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STILLWATER, MINNESOTA:
1. The street overlay for: Croixwood Boulevard from Northland Avenue to County Road
#5; West Orleans Street from Harriet to Everett Streets; and Marine Circle cul-de-sac,
is hereby approved.
2. Short -Elliott -Hendrickson, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer for this improve-
ment. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
Adopted by the City Council this 4th day of September, 1984.
