BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the following named persons shall serve as election judges for both the primary election on September 11, 1984, and the general election on Nvoemher 6, 1984: WARD 1, Precinct 1 Susan Doe (continued on page 192) C • • f • (192 • • RESOLUTION NO. 7347 - continued ALTERNATES Berty Barube Sanda Anderson Carol Roettger BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the compensation to be paid to the regular judges of elections of 1984 be, and the same is hereby fized at $4.00 per hour for the first eight hours and $6.00 per hour thereafter. Adopted by the City Council this 7th day of August, 1984 Published: August 15, 1984 Attest: eta ' City Coordinator RESOLUTION NO. 7348 RESOLUTION VACATING PARTS OF SYCAMORE STREET (LAKE STREET). WHEREAS, at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Stillwater, a Petition was presented praying for a vacation of part of Sycamore Street (Lake Street) in the City of Stillwater, hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Council did determine that the Petition was properly verified and signed by an owner abutting on the portion of the street proposed to be vacated; and the City Council determined that they are a Home Rule Charter City of the Third Class and that it was proper for them to proceed with the vacation pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 440.135; and WHEREAS, at a meeting duly called for that purpose, the City Council did on the 7th day of August, 1984, determine that the proposed vacation would not interfere or defeat the public interest or adversely affect the public and that it would be in the best interest of the City of Stillwater and the abutting owners that the portion of Oakes Street be returned to the tax rolls. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that said Petition be and the same is hereby granted and that the following part of said street as presently laid out and dedicated, be and the same is hereby vacated: That part of Lake Avenue (presently known as Sycamore Street) as dedicated on Cooper's Addition of the perfected plat of The City of Stillwater as recorded and on file in the office of the County Recorder, Washington County, Minnesota, descrived as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said Cooper's Addition to the City of Stillwater; thence South 01 degree 11 minutes 03 seconds East, bearing oriented to the Washington County Coordinator System, South Zgne, along the west line of said Cooper's Addition to the City of Stillwater a distance of 210.41 feet (recorded as 210.00 feet) to the north line of said Lake Avenue; thence North of said Lake Avenue; thence North 88 degrees 52minutes 50 seconds East along said north line 128.83 feet to the point of beginning; thence South 57 degrees 55 minutes 33 seconds East 24.31 feet; thence southeasterly and easterly along a tangential curve, concave to the northeast, having a radius of 250.00 feet and a central angle of 33 degrees 11 minutes 37 seconds, a distance of 144.84 feet; thence North 88 degrees 52 minutes 50 seconds East along tangent 182.96 feet to a point distant 75.00 feet westerly, measured radially, from the center line of County State Aid Highway 5 as presently located and traveled; thence northwesterly along said westerly line and a curve, concave to the southwest, having a radius of 641.20 feet and a central angle of 05 degrees 26 minutes 14 seconds a distance of 60.85 feet to said north line of Lake Avenue, the chord of said curve bears North 28 degrees 18 minutes 55 seconds West; thence South 88 degrees 52 minutes 50 seconds West along said north line 312.37 feet to a point of beginning, containing 0.34 acres, more less.
