WHEREAS, pursuant to written contract signed with the City on the 27th day of September, 1982, Akona Paving Corporation of Anoka, Minnesota, has satisfactory completed construction of Local Improvement No. 200, bituminous curb and surfacing on West Oak and South Oakes Street in accordance with such contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved and a proper warrant be drawn upon the City Treasurer and issued to the contractor for the final payment of said contract. Adopted by the Council this 16th day of August, 1983 Published: August 23, 1983 Attest: Cfiy Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 7221 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NOS. 201-203-205. WHEREAS, the Council did, by resolution adopted July 5, 1983, authorize and direct the City Clerk to advertise for bids returnable at 10:00 o'clock A. M. on Monday, August 1, 1983, for the construction of the following described improvement: Watermains and services, sanitary sewer and services, storm sewer, street surfacing and other appurtenances on West Orleans Street west of South Greeley Street; Sanitary sewer, watermain, sewer and water services, drainage, street construction and other appurtenances to service Radle's Hilltop Addition; Surfac- ing, curb, thegutter, Wildwoodewer Pinesnd andatermains and Wildwood Pineservices and other Second Addition.appurtenances to AND WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavits of publication presented by the City Clerk that pursuant to said resolution an advertisement for bids for said improve- ment was duly published in the Stillwater Evening Gazette, official newspaper of the City; and in the Construction Bulletin; AND WHEREAS, it appears that Crossings. Inc., Prior Lake, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of said improvement with a total bid of $300,334.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota: 1. That the bid of the said Crossings, Inc., be, and the same is hereby, accepted; and that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the name of the City with the said Crossings, Inc. for the construction of said improvement for the contract price aforesaid and in accord- ance with the plans and specifications therefor. 2. That the City Clerk shall retain the deposits made with the three lowest bids for thirty days from and after August 1, 1983 or until a contract is signed, which- ever event first occurs.
