HomeMy WebLinkAbout6738-6739 (Res.)f sr158 • RESOLUTION 6738 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK - LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NO. 157-1. WHEREAS, pursuant to written contract signed with the City on the 17th day of November, 1978, Johnson Bros. Corporation of Litchfield, Minnesota, has satisfactorily completed construction of Local Improvement No. 157-1, sanitary sewers, watermains, streets, drainage and other appurtenances to serve the Stillwater Industrial Park, Phase II, in accordance with such contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the surety be released from all obligations on the contract and that a proper warrant be drawn upon the City Treasurer and issued to the contractor for the final payment of said contract subject to the condition that the contractor despoit with the City Clerk an interest bearing Certificate of Deposit in the amount of $2,000 standing in the names of the City remaining undone on the contract, that can't be finished until spring, are in fact com- pleted. Upon the certification of the City Engineer that this work has been done, the Certificate of Deposit shall be returned to the contractor. In the event that these small items are not finished by the first of July, 1980, the said City shall be entitled to use the Certificate of Deposit to complete the work and return to the contractor any sums unused. Adopted by tI. Council this ldth day of December, 1979. Published: December 28, 1979 Attest: „t/ 62 'JJ Ci y Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 6739 RESOLUTION ADOPTING SCHEDULE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Stillwater, Minnesota that beginning the first of January, 1980 and continuing for a period of three months, as a trial period, the Fire Chief, without relinquishing his responsibilities and duties as Fire Chief, shall work a regular fireman's shift in the Fire Department as if he were a regular fireman. For this work he shall be paid the rates and the amounts as the Assistant Fire Chief. He shall not relinquish his supervisory or administrative duties as Fire Chief and shall continue in the status of Fire Chief as under the Charter; however, he shall receive no compensation for this extra work over and above his fireman's pay.
