RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING PLANS ANS SPECIFICATIONS
AND DIRECTING CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NO. 157-2.
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted July 25, 1978, this Council did fix a date for
a public hearing on proposed improvements consisting of the following:

Greeley Street to 380 feet east of Greeley Street;
AND WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published in the Stillwater Evening Gazette,
official newspaper of the City, on the 18th day of August, 1978, and on the 25th
day nfxtwgntv2Sakxda)t of August, 1978, and mailed as required by law, said hearing
was held at the Municipal Building at 7:30 o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, the 5th day
of September, 1978, at which time and place all persons desiring to be heard on
said improvement were given an opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater,
Minnesota:
1. That the aforesaid improvement be, and is hereby, ordered as proposed
at an estimated cost of $250,000.00, and that final detailed plans and specifica-
tions therefore prepared by Short -Elliott -Hendrickson, Inc. pursuant to City
Council resolution be, and the same are hereby, approved and ordered filed in the
office of the City Clerk.
2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
advertise for bids on the construction of said improvement, publication thereof
to be made at least once in the official newspaper of the City, not less than ten
days prior to the date hereinafter set for opening and consideration of bids. Said
advertisement shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be
publicly opened for consideration by the Council at 11:00 o'clock A. M. Friday,
September 7, 1979, and shall further state no bids will be considered unless seald
and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check bid
bond or certified check, payable to the City, for at least ten (10) percent of the
amount of the bid.

RESOLUTION NO. 6673
RESOLUTION APPROVING EMPLOYMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that
the employment of JESSE K. SNELSON as Building Official from and after August 13,
1979, for a probationery period of six months, be, and the same is hereby
approved; and that as compensation for services the said Jesse K. Snelson shall
receive the sum of $1,416.67 per month together with group hospital and medical
insurance.
